New parents and their ambassadors
joined together on August 21 to mix and mingle and to celebrate
the beginning of the school year. This annual event, hosted
by the Moravian Academy Parents’ Association, was a huge success
with more than 150 people attending. Parents’ Association
Vice President David Myers welcomed all the attendees and
described ways in which they could all be involved in the
Moravian
Academy
community, particularly through volunteerism. Mr. Myers was
followed at the podium by Mr. George N. King, Jr., Headmaster, who
echoed Mr. Myers’ call. All agreed that the event was a
perfect way for new and returning parents to get to know one
another.
