Classes resume on January 5, 2009.
The Read-On
Program will begin on January 5th and run
until March 20th. The Middle School students
will have the opportunity to raise funds for the
Child
Advocacy
Center
of the
Lehigh
County
. For every book your child reads from January 5th
through March 20th, 25 cents will be donated
to the agency by several parent sponsors. Parents are
welcome to “Read- On” also! A flier will be mailed
to MA middle school families shortly .
There will be a non
uniform day in the Middle School each ski club day.
Please remember to bring .25 to participate.
Ski
Club begins on January 9th and continues
on the 16th, 23rd, January 30th
and
February 6. If needed, February 27th will be used
for a make-up date.
The After- School
activities begin the week of January 5th.
The present 5th
grade classes at
Moravian
Academy
will each have an opportunity to visit the Middle School
in January. They will gather for an information session
with Mrs. Murphy and Mr. Bovee and conclude with a tour
of the MS facilities.
No school on
Martin Luther King Jr. Day – January 19th! Classes
resume on the 20th.
On January 20th the Middle school will have
an assembly
at 8:30 am in the Cafetorium. The topic will focus on
diversity and the work of Martin Luther King. At 11:45
students will receive a bag lunch and eat by cross
grades to watch the inauguration. Special lessons in all
classes will focus on diversity on the 20th.
Mr. Bovee and Mrs. Murphy will host a Grade 5 Parent Orientation to the Middle School at 7:00 pm in the
Devey Dining Room on January 21st. The snow date is
scheduled for January 22nd.
The Middle School will begin the day with an assembly
at 8:15 am in the gym on January 12th.
Advisors will meet with their advisees to review
mid-trimester comment
sheets during SAT on January 26th.
The Middle School will gather in the gym on January 26th
at 8:15 am for an assembly.
